Old Greyhound Bus Station to be Restored

The Savannah Historic District Board of Review said that plans were submitted and approved for the exterior restoration of the old Greyhound bus station on MLK dr.  It was the location of the popular Cafe Metropol restaurant until collapse of the roof closed the restaurant.  The building will be restored in its original Art Moderne style complete with curved glass, blue and white facade, and original-looking marquis signage.  The new restaurant which will occupy the space has not been announced.
