Winter Escape: Warm Waters of Austrian Spa

When we need to escape the cold winter, typically, we think of Miami and the Caribbean.

Why not try Austria or Germany?

Sure, it will be cold there, but if you go to a therme baden, or thermal bath, you will be warmed by the earth– even in winter. Some of the best spas in Germany are located in Baden-Wuerttemburg, but here, we’ll focus on the Aqua Dome Thermal Resort in Austria.

A hotel and spa in Längenfeld, not far outside of Innsbruck, Austria, the  Aqua Dome Thermal Resort is warm in hospitality, extremely cool in design and way different than Miami.  They spent $26 million in over 32,000 square feet making sure you’ll be warm and cozy in the spa and baths. There are 13 indoor and outdoor pools, 200 hotel rooms, restaurants, hiking onsite and alpine snow skiing nearby.

“…filled with
pleasant essences, oscillations and sounds.
The energy of the Alpine environments of
herbs, flowers, gemstones, fire and ice
invigorates our saunas, baths and oases of
relaxation.”

Just make sure to leave your American inhibitions at home– because most of the thermal baths are fabric-free, meaning, you don’t wear any clothing. You’ll get used to it! And you’ll be glad you did!
