Google Data Center @ Douglas County:
The 500,000 squqre foot data center is near Lithia Springs and employs more than 300 workers. The facility uses half the energy of a typical data center by use of free cooling, grey water, and LED lighting. Google supplies free WIFI high speed internet access to nearby Douglasville City Hall, public plazas and parks.
New Metropolitan Atlanta City & County Government Buildings:
Because the State of Georgia is second only to Texas for the largest number of counties and courthouses in the country, metro Atlanta has numerous city halls and courthouses. As Atlanta exploded with business and population, many original county courthouses and city halls were too small and outdated. Happily, many original structures remain. These are some of the more interesting public buildings constructed in the last decade.
