So, what about the new skyscrapers under-construction or proposed?
In the ATL, a 720 ft tall 60-story residential tower is proposed as part of a trio at 98 14th St, across from the Four Seasons Atlanta Midtown.
And the second tallest proposal in Atlanta is planned to be 51 stories, estimated at 655 feet tall, the 1138 Peachtree residences over 39,000 sf of retail space, perhaps including a grocery store.
But Miami may rise to the top– with the proposed 1041 ft One Brickell Center. However, the FAA feels the supertall would be too close to Miami International Airport, and has requested the height be lowered to 461 feet! Typically, a compromise is agreed upon, which may be announced next month.
